User Data Deletion

Instructions for requesting the removal of your personal data

At Gauss, you have full control over your data. In accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (LGPD), you may request the deletion of all your personal data at any time.

What will be deleted

When you request the deletion of your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

How to request deletion

There are two ways to request the deletion of your data:

Option 1: Via WhatsApp (recommended)

The fastest and most direct way. Send the following message to Gauss on WhatsApp:

delete my account

Gauss will confirm the request and execute the deletion immediately.

Option 2: By e-mail

Send an e-mail to support@gaussapp.com with the subject "Data deletion" and include the WhatsApp number associated with your account. The deletion will be completed within 15 business days.

Before deleting: export your data

Recommendation: Before requesting deletion, export your financial data so you don't lose your history. Send the following message on WhatsApp:

export my data

You will receive a complete summary with all your expenses, categories, and totals.

Anonymization option

If you wish to stop using the service but prefer to keep your statistics in anonymized form (without linking them to personal data), you can opt for anonymization instead of full deletion.

With anonymization:

  • Your personal data (phone number, name) will be removed
  • Aggregate statistics (totals by category, averages) will be kept in anonymized form
  • It will not be possible to re-link the data to you

Warning: Data deletion is irreversible. After deletion, it will not be possible to recover your expenses, categories, or any other data associated with your account. Make sure to export your data beforehand if you need it.
